Inspired by recent dreams, I have thrown and sculpted turtles to accompany you with your morning tea and coffee. The Turtle is the symbol of the World and the Earth, inspiring us to chart our own course with energy and determination. Symbols of the Earth, turtles are often associated with nature and harmony.
Ceramic Mandalas
A mandala is a circular design that represents balance, unity, and the infinite nature of life. It often symbolizes a journey inward—a meditative space where complexity finds harmony.
By throwing clay on the wheel, I'm embracing that same circular motion—the spinning center becomes a physical mandala. As I shape the vessel, I’m creating a form that holds space, both literally and symbolically.
Each carved mandala on the vessel is a moment of intention. It’s not just decoration—it's a meditation in form. The repetitive patterns invite stillness, reflection, and presence. The vessel becomes a sacred object, carrying the energy of process, balance, and beauty—meant to be held, used, and contemplated.
