Nap time for her, Catch up time for me

Today was a challenge.

Sometimes life can become misaligned in a moment, and it can all become a mess so fast.

There are dishes in the sink, toys on the floor and laundry to be folded.

And there I sat.

I had a choice. I could clean it all up and disregard self care, giving myself no "me time," (What's that anyway?) or do something for me.

So there I was, in total silence, with watercolors that my toddler had smeared and mixed together days before. The music came on and it instantly calmed my soul. Even with the hour and 15 minutes away from her, she became my muse. She always is.

Everyone needs a moment throughout their day to self reflect and care for themselves. Self care can be as simple as a shower. Showers can feel hard to come by as a stay at home mother. The small amount of time I have to myself as she naps is over in a blink, but today I can say I did something for me.

Can you?

Let us all know what you did for yourself today in the comments. Be proud of it. And if you can't think of anything, tell us something you promise to do tomorrow.
